Antioch Library Friends (ALF)

Who We Are:

The Antioch Library Friends (ALF) is a non-profit organization founded in 1985 that supports the Antioch Public Library District through volunteer services and fundraising events. ALF funds many library programs and projects with proceeds from our used book store located in the front of the Antioch Library, our yearly book sale, and monthly silent auctions, as well as our membership donations.

The Antioch Library Friends are recipients of multiple Presidential Volunteer Service Awards. As a group they have earned the Silver Presidential Volunteer Service Award for performing 500 – 999 volunteer service hours in a year and they have earned the Gold Presidential Volunteer Service Award for performing 1,000+ volunteer service hours in a year. Without their dedicated volunteering the Antioch Public Library District would not be able to provide some of the great services we provide for the community.

ALF Meetings:

We have a monthly meeting the 1st Thursday of the month (no meetings in June & July), and all are welcome to attend.  Stop in and see what we are all about. Curious about what goes on at our meetings? Past meeting minutes are available via the link below.

Friends Donation Page

Donations

Through your help of donating books for yearly book sales, the book store in the front of the Library and other sales that go on at different times of the years, and silent auction items, the Friends are able to help out the Library by purchasing items and supporting programs that we just couldn’t do on budget alone. We cannot thank you enough for the donations you bring or the Friends for all the help they offer the Library. Thank You!

The Antioch Library Friends truly appreciate all donations from the community. However, there are some items that they cannot resell in the store or during yearly book sales. Before donating items, please review their list of unacceptable items. If they cannot sell the items, the Library must pay to have these items disposed of.
