Academic Search Premier is a multi-disciplinary database of more than 4,600 magazines and journals, including full text for nearly 3,900 peer-reviewed titles. In addition to the full-text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for 8,470 journals.

Only accessible at the Library, this collection of more than 4000 databases and two billion names is essential to genealogy research.

With the world’s largest collection of online family history records, Ancestry helps you find the details of your family story.

Archive.org

A nonprofit digital library where you can view the Antioch News from 1888-2006. Issues can be searched individually.

To search the whole set at once, use Google and type in your keywords as well as “Antioch News” and “archive.org.”

Browse and download limitless free eBooks, audiobooks and digital magazines with just your library card and PIN. From classics to NYT best-sellers, you can download titles for offline reading anytime, anywhere, or stream to save space. Local Obituary Database

Antioch Public Library District has put together a searchable database collection of Antioch resident obituaries from local newspapers and funeral homes from the late 1800’s through 2020. For help or access to more recent obituaries, please ask Library reference staff.

MasterFile Premier

Read articles from thousands of popular and professional magazines, including general reference, business, consumer health, popular culture, and science. Including definitions from the American Heritage Dictionary, biographies of famous people and primary source documents, it also provides an image library of maps, flags and photos.

Miss Humblebees

Designed for children ages 3 to 6, Miss Humblebee’s Academy is an easy-to-use, interactive solution for kindergarten readiness. WorldCat allows you to search and request the holdings of libraries across the United States and beyond. With over 500 million records in varied languages and institutions, you can locate books, journals, dissertations, recordings and more that may not be held locally at APLD but can be requested here using interlibrary loan services.
