Exclusive to Antioch Public Library District cardholders! When you get a library card please set up a PIN # to access the following Online Databases. (You must have a registered library card and obtain pin number in person at the Circulation Desk during regular business hours.) These databases are not accessible after 1am until 6:30 a.m. while routine daily maintenance is being performed on the servers.

America's News Magazines - This collection contains full text of several U.S news magazines.

Ancestry Library Edition (Cannot be accessed from home) - This collection of more than 4,000 databases and two billion names is essential to having a broad genealogy collection.

Antioch Review - The Antioch Review covers local Antioch news from 1998-2010.

Automotive Repair Reference Center - Auto Repair Reference Center contains repair and maintenance information on most major manufacturers of domestic and imported vehicles including wiring diagrams and photographs of repair procedures.

Brainfuse - Get live homework and skill building help from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Career Transitions - An online career guidance center that will walk users through the job search from beginning to end.

Chicago Tribune - Access the Chicago Tribune full text from 1985 to the present.

Consumer Reports - Access Consumer Reports ratings, reviews, and recommendations.

Contemporary Literary Critcism Select - An extensive collection of critical essays and biographical information on contemporary authors.

Encyclopaedia Britannica Library Edition - The Britannica Online Reference Center offers research tools such as timelines, world data analysis, and a searchable world atlas.

ERIC (articles on Education) - Journal articles and reports in education. Contains annotated references to non-journal material issued in the monthly Resources in Education (RIE) and to journal articles issued in the monthly Current Index to Journals in Education (CIJE).

Gale Virtual Reference Library - Great for research papers, Gale Virtual Reference Library provides full text of hundreds of reference books on various topics, including art, history, business, education, literature and much more.

Health Reference Center - Facts On File's Health Reference Center is a comprehensive encyclopedic database containing thousands of hyperlinked entries organized into five major categories: body systems, diseases and disorders, drug abuse and addiction, mental health and development disorders and nutrition and wellness. It provides clear information on the causes, cures, key research, medical terms, symptoms, treatments and trends, and organizations in each field of study.

Heritage Quest Online - This online database is an essential collection of unique material for both genealogical and historical researchers, with coverage dating back to the late 1700s.

Illinois Public Records - Allows the search of Northern Illinois Real estate transactions, mortgages, foreclosures, misdemeanor arrests and bankruptcies.

Mango Languages - An online language-learning system that can help you learn languages like Spanish, French, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, German, Mandarin Chinese, Greek, Italian, Russian and more.

Medline - A huge data base of articles published in multiple biomedical journals across the world. Use this data base to find references on specific medical topics or search by keyword. Searchable from 1949 – present.

MyMediaMall - Antioch cardholders can browse and download audio books, videos and e-books in various formats. In order to download, you must have an Antioch barcode and a PIN number.

Wilson Web Junior and Senior High Collection - Wilson Web Junior services readers in grades five through nine; Wilson Web Senior services readers in grades nine through twelve. This database provides thousands of entries for nonfiction and fiction collections, as well as recommended CD-ROMs.
