Antioch Library Friends Membership
The Antioch Library Friends are all volunteers. To become a member print out the membership form and return it to the Antioch Public Library District with payment. To see what the Friends are all about, stop by for a monthly meeting, the 1st Thursday of the month (no meetings in June & July), all are welcome.
There are different positions to participate in with the Friends:
Donation Solicitation: Ask local businesses for donations for monthly silent auctions and other fund raising events and send out thank you notes and keep a record of donations received.
Annual Book Sale: The committee coordinates all aspects of the annual Fall book sale.
Events Coordinator: Investigate the feasibility of other fund raising events to help raise money for the library. Once an event is decided upon by the entire organization, this individual or committee would coordinate all aspects of the event.
Area Friends Liaison: Explore other area libraries’ Friends organizations and their book sales and other activities for ideas. They might also coordinate annual networking meetings for local Friends’ groups.
Awards: The Antioch Library Friends are recipients of Gold and Silver Presidential Volunteer Service Awards.
